What began as a grassroots project for better peripheral options in Dallas, Texas, led to a global brand catering to the real needs of gamers far and wide. Our Story: How It All Started

It all began with a Reddit thread back in 2014. Glorious founder (and avid PC gamer), Shazim Mohammad, witnessed a redditor using a gun cleaning mat (!) as a gaming mousepad given the lack of good options. Inspiration struck, and Shazim went on to create the first XXL mousepad– all with just $1000 of crowdsourced funding. 

Driven by the gaming community’s needs, we aimed to bridge the gap between gaming keyboards and the keyboard enthusiast hobby. Back then, we were frustrated with having to choose between performance OR aesthetics: either a gamer-heavy, black keyboard with reliable gaming tech, or an enthusiast, custom board without that game-proof performance. 

We didn’t want you to settle. So in 2016, we changed the game with the GMMK, the world’s first fully modular gaming keyboard. It was one of the first hotswappable keyboards on the market, which let you easily customize your build without any soldering. It was such a hit that we followed up with the GMMK PRO, offering enthusiast-grade components and even more customization options.

Through continued conversations with the community, we set out to keep understanding what it was you really wanted. We soon learned that while other gaming companies kept making heavier mice to make them feel more “premium”, what gamers really wanted was lightweight mice for more speed and control. Then in 2019, the Model O was born. As one of the first lightweight gaming mice available, it took the gaming world by storm. It was even particularly well-received by the Minecraft community, since it’s the ideal mouse for butterfly clicking. 

Thanks to you, these last ten years have been epic, and we can’t wait to see what the future brings.
