After months of minor updates, Valve has finally dropped an exciting new major update for Counter-Strike 2.
No, it’s not a new operation, but with all the fresh content packed into this release, it might as well be.
The Armory update introduces a battle pass-style system, gun charms, three new weapon collections, stickers, and a brand-new case - adding over 100 new items.
But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered so you don’t miss a thing.
The big highlight is the purchasable Armory Pass, which lets you earn credits by playing on Valve’s official servers and gaining XP. You can redeem those credits for a variety of new items like charms, stickers, and skins, which we’ll dive into shortly.
But here’s the best part – you can stack up to five passes at once and progress through all of them at the same time, so you can really flex on your friends.
As for the star of the show, there’s a big selection of unique charms that you can attach to any of your weapons. Once equipped, you can still remove the charm, but it’ll cost you a small fee to do so.
Are you saying you can sport a tiny sausage CT hanging from your M4? Sign us up.
When it comes to the flashy new weapon skins introduced in the Overpass, Graphic, and Sport and Field Collections, along with the new Gallery case, the highlight goes to a couple of stunning skins that are sure to make us empty our wallets.
For the more creative minds out there, some exciting news: two new sticker collections expand the crafting possibilities for your favorite weapons and skins.
Plus, as part of the update, you can now preview how a scraped sticker will look before you actually scrape it.
Don’t worry, if you’re looking for gameplay improvements, Valve has you covered. It can’t all be about cosmetics, right?
We’ve also seen significant enhancements across multiple areas, including improved character movement and animations, a slew of networking tweaks, and multiple bug fixes.
If you’re curious and want to explore all the changes in detail, you can check out the official release notes.
