With the holiday season fast approaching, video games make for a great gift - whether you're treating a loved one or getting a little bit of gaming joy yourself.
December’s game releases are here, and we’ve rounded up some top picks that are guaranteed to make the season even brighter.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The biggest release this month brings back a loved franchise in a standalone adventure.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an action game with a strong narrative focus, where you’ll play the titular character as he embarks on a globe-trotting race against several groups seeking the power of the mysterious Great Circle.
The game, in classic Indy fashion, combines stealth, direct combat, and puzzles, all while emphasizing exploration. The whip is also back, serving a variety of functions, and the gameplay is primarily experienced from a first-person perspective.
If you’re a fan of the series, there’s no better way to relieve the good old thrills. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to release on December 9.
Marvel Rivals
This one is for all the Overwatch enthusiasts out there.
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play hero shooter that pits teams of 5 players against each other in a third-person destructible environment, featuring a broad lineup of characters from the Marvel Universe.
What sets Marvel Rivals apart is its Dynamic Hero Synergy mechanic, which allows players to combine the unique abilities of different characters for enhanced combat effectiveness.
Launching with three game modes - Convoy, Domination, and Convergence -Marvel Rivals will be available to play starting December 6.
Path of Exile 2
MMO enthusiasts, we’ve got something for you too.
The standalone Path of Exile 2 will feature a fresh six-act campaign, twelve unique classes, and a major overhaul to core mechanics and overall graphics, including a revamped skill gem system. In short, PoE 2 is packed with all the juicy bits we love to see.
For us, the most thrilling aspect will be the Endgame, which will feature a new storyline along with reimagined versions of the story bosses.
You’ll be able to dive into Path of Exile 2 when it releases on December 6.
